HEROES 2-11
This was a pretty damn good finale. I'll cover the lesser stuff first.

One of our drud dealers that kidnapped Monica decides to make her "extra crispy" by tying her up in a soon to be arsoned building. Micah plans on saving her and tells Niki, "All you have to do is drive." Can't Micah just whisper sweet nothings to the car to make it go? Anyways, they get there as Mr. Drug Dealer is hopping in his van. So Niki pulls in front of him, kicks him in the balls, pistol whips the location of Monica out of him, then pistol whips him unconscious. Dude just lost all his street cred. BTW, Ali Larter's ass looked FANTASTIC here. She goes in the burning bldg, and this part was really unclear, but she helps Monica escape but is trapped. Monica and Micah watch as the monster explosion occurs. Funny as hell, I was really pulling for Niki to survive and Monica to die. Don't like Monica anymore.

Mohinder comes home, Maya is cooking breakfast because Sylar is "starving." Hehehe. Mohinder learns Sylar is without his powers, so he pulls a butter knife on him, but ol' Sylar's draw is quicker and he has a gun. Maya's mascara runs and that starts to kill Mohinder and Molly in addition to Sylar, so she reverses it. Sylar wants the cure dammit!

Bob is really harsh on Elle, a little too harsh if you ask me. (She wasn't exactly a victim type character when she was introduced.) She goes to Noah looking for her origin info. He tells her that Bob, basically, was an awful father that overtested her powers.

Peter and Hiro fight. Hiro has an opportunity to decapitate Peter but stalls and Peter electrocutes his blade, thus knocking Hiro unconscious. Adam takes his katana back. Ma Petrelli tells Nathan and Matt where the virus is at and tells Matt to kill Adam AND Peter if necessary. You know, Matt Parkman has gained about 5lbs per episode. Adam and Peter make their way through the 3rd floor at Primatech. A pretty badass scene with Peter flinging paper manufacturers with telekinesis and Adam showing the blade skills. Adam suffers a particularly deep papercut to his skull, but does recover! They reach the vault and Adam tells Peter to get the door down. Peter uses telekinesis to remove the hinges and pull the door open.

Nathan flies Matt to Odessa, TX. Funny scene as Nathan has trouble landing do to Parkman's weight. Hiro comes outside to greet them. Hiro teleports to the vault to stop Adam and Peter. Peter flings him against the wall and pins him there. Matt comes from behind and tries to use mind control but Peter shrugs it off. Nathan comes from around the corner to talk Peter down and show him the light. I'm guessing that having Nathan go before Matt and Hiro might have been a good idea. Hiro heads into the vault and Adam puts the katana against Hiro's throat. Hiro grabs him and teleports as Adam drops the virus. Peter races in and stops the virus from hitting the floor. Peter nukes the virus. Matt, Nathan, and Peter agree that they're done paying for the sins of their parents.

Mohinder brings Sylar to the lab. Sylar notes that he killed Isaac there. Molly tells Maya she can find Alejandro. She remote views but nothing comes up. Maya is upset and Sylar shoots her in the throat. Mohinder has a prime opportunity to attack Sylar, when Sylar puts the gun down so Mohinder can draw his blood, but Mohinder does nothing. Well thanks for playing Dr. Suresh. Anyhoo, Elle sees Sylar at Mohinder's lab (thanks to the Company having video survellience there. She decides to play hero to win her father's approval and heads for Mohinder's.

Sylar insists Mohinder use the cure on Maya first, to prove it is the real deal. Maya is cured. Sylar grabs the cure as Elle firess some electro beams at him. Sylar fires a few bullets at her. She hits him with some electricity and he crashes into a glass pane, but Sylar IS A MAN and keeps on trucking. Mohinder thanks Elle, and then shits a brick when he realizes Sylar he the cure.

Matt, Nathan, and Peter’s conversation is under the same Company surveillance as Mohinder’s lab. Nathan says it is time to come out of the closet… about their powers.

West learns why you should never get involved with women as Claire sends him packing and he isn’t even moving anywhere! Noah comes home. The family rejoices. Noah lets them know that he has cut a deal with the Company—He is back working with them in exchange for the security of his family (i.e. the Company will leave Claire alone.) Someone should probably tell West about this development.

We learn that Hiro has buried Adam alive as Adam screams 6ft below the earth’s crust. Hiro informs us that Adam will never hurt anyone again. Yeah right. Nathan holds his big presser to announce that he can fly. Before Nathan can make the big reveal, three bullets find their way into his chest. Nathan lay dead in Peter’s arms as the gunman just casually walks away. Matt Parkman was there too, and it’s nice to see a cop on top of the situation. We cut to Ma Petrelli on the phone with a mystery caller as she watches replays of the assassination on MSNBC. (Let’s get this straight: Man can fly. Check. Girl can comeback from the dead. Check. Man can travel back in time. Check. People watch MSNBC? Now they’re starting to stretch things a bit too far.) Anyway, Ma Petrelli agrees that the assassination was unavoidable. Folks, mother of the year right here. The Generations chapter closes, as Chapter 3: "Villains" is introduced. Sylar shoots up the cure in an alley and moves a can of Popeye’s Spinach using telekinesis. “I’m baaack.”

Thoughts: Well, it is hard to watch Nathan go, but word is that the actor will be back as Pa Petrelli. Sylar stole the show for me. His “Now look what you made me do” after shooting Maya was classic. I am a bit concerned about Peter’s powers. His mastery of other’s abilities is alarming. Matt should have been able to tame him, but Peter just kicked his mind’s ass. At this point, Peter has to be deactivated in some way for the larger portion of future seasons because no threat can hold a candle to him. I mean, he is stupid, but that isn’t a viable excuse anymore. Even being an empath, he doesn't have to be this strong. Matt introduces him to mind control and Peter masters it in less than 5 seconds? It wasn't necessary. Sylar didn’t look so menacing in that alleyway because we just got through seeing Peter own Hiro, Matt, a 20 ton vault door, and 10,000 paper manufacturers. Hmmm, a 20 ton vault or a 20oz can of Bush’s Baked Beans??? You be the judge.

Another thing that irks me is what good is it for Sylar to acquire any new powers when Peter Petrelli can immediately piggyback it? The only power that can help is the power of the Hiatian. Now he would be pretty unstoppable if he got that. BUT, Peter has already meet the Hiatian, so how come he can't nullify powers too? Peter has to either die or have something drastic happen to him next season, or else he'll be a major problem.

I'm guessing Peter acquires Maya's power, and he becomes a complete outcast. Remember how he reacted to having the exploding man powers? Couple that with the runny mascara and he'll be a complete pariah. Then again, he seems to have MASTERED the whole going nuclear thing, so there goes that theory. Maybe he got the virus, the curse, or whatever the symbol meant in the dust when he nuked the virus?

Sylar isn't really scary as much as he is creepy. And Suresh is dumb enough to give him his powers back, even though he's just a psychopath now rather than an all-powerful psychopath.

They have to give Sylar the remote viewing ability. He has to start acquiring some new powers now. I don't care much for the "runny mascara kills everyone in a 100ft radius" power, so I hope he doesn't acquire it from Maya. I'm guessing the brain in the vault will be Sylar's lunch. Has to be.

I don't understand the Sylar dislike out there. Yes he is a pretty simple character, but that is a good thing IMO. There are those that say he has "run his course" but he stole some scenes last night. Quinto is awesome. He took the platitude "I'm baaack" and gave it an extra layer of cool. His delivery is fairly perfect. Quinto makes those lines. To sum up, Sylar is a great character, so the more of him the better.

Also if they had killed off Micah, this act would've made it my favourite show of all time. And not just because I don't like the character (although I don't). But with Micah being the one trying to band people together as a team of superheroes, killing him would make the statement that this isn't your typical or traditional superhero story. Which would be a good start, because I think this show does take the "easy route" fairly often. Plus, the consequences for Nikki's character could be phenomenal.

And why no deus-ex-machina to bring Nathan back from the dead? Although, it's nice to know Peter's blood can't heal people

HEROES 2-10
Alejandro's death was fairly anti-climatic.

And Peter's a tool. This whole gullible tool thing is sort of lame, but I can see the need to prevent him from being an all-out badass for now.

HEROES 2-9
Holy SHIT that was awesome. HRG... NOOO! But then he’s alive... Yay! Suresh, you deserve a bullet in the head, you stupid shit. Hiro truly is noble and heroic, and now it’s ON between him and Adam. Matt’s going down a very slippery slope along with his hetero life partner Mohinder, so I guess the future really is tough to change.

No Sylar pissed me off, but at least there was no "MAYA!!! ALEJANDRO!!!" for 5 minutes this time.

Heroes is BACK, yee hah! Until the strike kills it, hopefully only in the same way HRG was killed.

HEROES 2-8
Oh, questions questions questions. And some of them finally get answered on last night’s Heroes! The timeline still feels totally messed up on the Nathan thing, as a week doesn’t exactly seem like enough time to grow a Grizzly Adams beard and develop a drinking problem, but it was great to see Peter get a haircut either way.

Did Elle mention a fire she started when she was a girl? And wasn’t Claire Bear rescued from a fire when SHE was a girl? There are no coincidences, so this should pay off later. Hopefully with the jello wrestling match between Elle and Claire that I had previously wished for.

And man, did DL ever get shafted in the cool death department. Shot by a greasy punk in a nightclub? PWNED!

Despite dedicating 1/4 of the episode to Los Wonder Twins, we still don’t care about them, did we really need to see when they got their powers? Or that it happened because Maya got upset and was away from Alejandro? Stop repeating the same shit over and over again! Let’s skip to Sylar bashing their brains in with a brick already.

And we still don’t know what happened to Sylar, either, but then we never really knew how he gained powers in the first place, so that’s par for the course, I guess. Definitely one of the better episodes of the season overall.

HEROES 2-7
So Kensei is still alive in the present and is masterminding the murders of the SuperFriends. I love it. He's fucking up the world because of Hiro. Speaking of which, he FINALLY returns to the present and FINALLY that storyline goes somewhere. I didn't like Hiro's "Oh this superhealing guy was in an explosion and I didn't see his body. I'm just going to assume he's dead because I'm a James Bond villian now." Now if only Sylar and the WonderTwins would follow suit before the WGA strike sinks the whole season. West growing ever closer to Claire begs the question that no one has asked up until now: Would her hymen grow back after he deflowers her in the clouds? These are things we need to know! Nice to see Parkman finally grow a set and stand up to Nightmare Daddy, although clearly “Adam” is going to be the true threat anyway. Bob’s puzzled “Why would you tell me this now?” to Mohinder pretty much summed up my feeling as well. The answer: Because Mohinder is a IDIOT. Go home and play mommy to Molly because Matt is clearly the alpha male now.

It occurs to me that if Sylar does make it back and kills Adam to steal his healing factor, then everyone is screwed and that would set up season 3 nicely.

And silly Claire with your harmones acting up. Stop rebelling against your awesome dad.

HEROES 2-6
Heroes was awesome, another good one. Kensai’s heel turn FINALLY moves the story forward, although it also means that Hiro’s not coming back to the future any time soon. And I don’t see a happy ending for his love story, because we know Future Hiro is the kind of guy who obviously doesn’t get sex very often. Unless it’s from Ando, I guess. You’d think that this Japan plot is going to somehow tie back into the future and not just annoy me for weeks on end, so I’m guessing that Kensai lives forever and he’ll be one of the big villains doing the dirty work for Nightmare Man back in the present.

They seem to be altering West’s obnoxious personality week by week, much like they did with Claire’s formerly-gay friend in season one. But really it’s no wonder that Claire Bear is lacking in moral fiber, considering what Noah Bennet unleashed on Odessa via green screen. Really, it’s too late for redemption with him anyway, so why not shoot the guy in the face after he gave up the info?

Although it’s starting to get silly that Isaac the Plot Device would have painted so much stuff before his death, turning him into the Jigsaw of superheroes. I really don’t see quite why they feel the need to do it since Peter now has the same ability. It’s just about tolerable for this season, but if new paintings by Isaac are STILL popping up in Season Five (”These are his real final series of paintings... yes I know I say that every year, but these are really the last. Unless we get desperate again.”), I’ll start wondering why they killed him off in the first place if they needed him around as a plot device that much.

Mohinder is so very, very dumb. I mean, he seriously makes my brain hurt when he appears on screen. I hope Sylar gets his powers back and kills him first, but gets infected with the male bimbo virus and suddenly starts trusting anyone who seems credible while narrating the show.

HEROES 2-5
So after last week’s tactic of concentrating on only a couple of stories worked so well for Heroes, they repeated the plan again this week and gave us only Matt/Nathan, Irish Peter and Past Hiro. And again, the tactic worked in the form of a really good show, even without Claire Bear and her annoying emo sidekick West. Monica is getting quite the push on this show now, isn’t she? Her abilities lead one to wonder if she can mimic superpowers as well as mundane things like finishing moves and tomatoes. Nice to see Suresh proceeding nicely down the dark path of the Company, giving up a little piece of his soul each week to them. This week was lacking in Sylar, sez I. And really, let’s bring poor Hiro back from the soul-suckingly dull feudal Japan storyline now. He’s bored me enough there and we know that the end point is Future Hiro, so just GET THERE FASTER already.

HEROES 2-4
They really know what geek buttons to push. Cable stealing and for WWE PPV no less (which apparently costs $65 in crazy NBC world). I can just see a senile Vince McMahon watching it and getting really upset and threatening to go after the fictional character for stealing PPV.

I also noticed Micah’s cousin wanted to watch the PPV because he was looking forward to the “tag team title match”. Now, watching Heroes I’ve been willing to suspend my disbelief about characters that can spontaneously regenerate, fly, and bend the space-time continuum, but WWE promoting the tag team titles to the point where someone specifically wanted the PPV just to see that match? Now that’s pure fantasy.

Anyway, another good episode, although “I know you heal, but I never want to see you hurt” made me to want to find a butcher knife and stab myself in the heart with it so I’d never have to hear dialog that fucking stupid again. Nathan shaving was a welcome sight, as was the picture of the SuperFriends in its entirety instead of one piece at a time. And West is such a bad boy, he even breaks the laws of gravity!

Molly was 'locked in' to her own head by Matt's father. That's my supposition, which is why she was mentally screaming for Matt, and unable to speak or move. This cannot be good for Mohinder and Matt's new gay relationship!

Sylar's back at his old games again; never change, you damn human cockroach, never change.

"I've been riding with them for two days. They're murderers!"

"Oh, golly!"

Sylar is awesome.

No Peter this episode = BOO. I want more hard-drinking Irish badass Peter!

HEROES 2-3
Heroes continues the up-and-down run thus far this season with an “up” one, fo shizzle. Sylar killing Candace/Michelle (coincidence?) in an effort to get his supervillain mojo back was a cool bit that everyone saw coming and cheered for, and it’s nice to have confirmation that she really was a fat girl disguised as a skinny one. It was also nice to have confirmation that Claire Bear feels pain, but “just gets over it really fast.” I was kinda wondering about that. And DL’s dead! Anyone wanna bet he shows up as Nikki’s new better half? The twins haven't seen one speck of character development yet. Each episode she goes black-eyed, in two episodes he cures her, and the only thing that's different is they're a bit closer to America. We get it, you've set it up, now move it along. Mohinder and Parkman as the creepy My Two Dads still doesn’t work for me. And Peter being all Irish and badass is pretty damn cool. Lots of Star Trek geeks working on this show, though.

HEROES 2-1
Heroes was a good opener, but didn’t blow me away like the original pilot did. But then I guess it doesn’t have to anymore. The Mysterious Rogue Team Member stuff is always an easy sell in comic books, and I’m sure they’ll milk it for just as much here. I love how they didn't give a rat's ass how modern everyone looked in 1600s Japan. Not trying rules! I'm also not a big fan of the new Hispanic duo with the Wonder Twins powers. Super Peeping Tom can go fly off a bridge, but I suspect that since they’ve gone to great pains to avoid power duplications thus far. I dunno who that would make the guy in the cargo hold with the Helix necklace, though.
